Yvonne “Nonnie” Loveladdy, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016, in Irving.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center with Rev. Kelly Sullivan officiating.

Ms. Loveladdy was born June 28, 1928, in Shelbyville, to P.W. “Dick” Middleton and Ione Lee Middleton. She was a graduate of Center High School and attended Texas Women’s College in Denton. Ms. Loveladdy was Vice President of Loveladdy Oil Company. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and an active member of First United Methodist Church in Center.

Dwight M. Hill, 89, of Logansport, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at First United Methodist Church of Logansport. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Logansport with Rev. Gloria Youngblood and Rev. Dean Register officiating. Interment will follow at O.E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana.

Mr. Hill was born March 15, 1926 in Logan County, Arkansas to George Allen Hill and Lena Corley Hill. He was a sales representative in the poultry industry. Mr. Hill served in the United States Army as a Medic from October 1944 to November 1946. He was a member of the Joaquin Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Shriners Temple and an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Logansport.

Opal Adell (Rousseau) Chandler was born October 24, 1917 in Garrison, Texas to Travis and Pearl (Weatherly) Rousseau. She died January 20, 2016 in Garrison, Texas having reached the age of 98. She married WC “Dock” Chandler on March 24, 1934 at the age of 16. They were married 28 years until his death on October 19, 1962.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Garrison Funeral Home, Garrison, Texas. Burial will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before service 1:00-2:00 pm.

Joshua Wayne Kellum, 33, of Timpson, Texas passed away on Tuesday January 19, 2016 in Center, Texas.  He was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on April 5, 1982, the son of James Kellum and Jane Pipes Hoffman.

Josh graduated Timpson High School Class of 2000.  He then went to work logging with his father.  He spent countless hours cutting trees and hauling logs.  Josh enjoyed muddin’ on four-wheelers, fishing, and spending time around a camp fire visiting with family and friends.

Josh is survived by his wife, Candace Johnson Kellum; mother, Janie Hoffman;  son, Jeramie Cain Kellum;  daughter, Janna Darlene Kellum, Bradlee Voiselle; step-children, Jacob, Zackary, Addison, and Piper;  several nieces, nephews, and  cousins, and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Josh was preceded in death by his son, Johnathan Wayne Kellum; and father, James Wesley Kellum.

Jason Hubert Covington, 54, of Center, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016, in Center.

Mr. Covington was born November 9, 1961, in Nacogdoches, to John Maxie Covington and Joy Hughes Covington. He attended Kilgore College and Stephen F. Austin University. Mr. Covington was a loving husband and a devoted dad. His wife and three boys were the light of his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Shelby County Cruisers, NHRA and Center Country Club. Mr. Covington was very active in youth baseball, having coached for several years. He was Vice President of Covington Lumber and Construction Company for thirty-one years.

T.J. Hass, 79, of Joaquin, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016, in Center.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2016, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Joe Walker and Bro. Ben Brittain officiating. Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.

Mr. Hass was born May 5, 1936, in Wood County, to Thomas Jefferson “Tom” Hass and Ina Marie Harvey Hass. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and visiting with his family. Mr. Hass was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

Doris Hughes Taylor, 96, of Joaquin, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Jackson Baptist Church in Joaquin with Mike Brittain officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. Taylor was born March 29, 1919, in Joaquin, to Robert C. Hughes and Effie Cooper Hughes. She spent twenty years as a career U.S. Navy wife, two of those years were in occupied Japan. She kept home fires burning while he kept the world safe. She was a member of Joaquin and Jackson Baptist Churches and also a charter member of Sandia Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
