October 30, 2020 - Shelbyville ISD Lady Dragons' high school basketball team starts their season at home in a scrimmage against Central on October 31 at 10am.

Shelbyville ISD Lady Dragons' Jr. High basketball team starts their season at home against Timpson on November 12 at 5:30pm.

October 30, 2020 - San Augustine ISD reports there is erroneous information circulating that their concession stands will not be open at the football game tonight against Shelbyville High School. Please be informed that the concession stands at San Augustine’s football stadium will be open for business tonight. Come out and support our Dragons and have some good concession food while you are at it… Dragon Pride!

October 29, 2020 - The Center 9th grade football game versus Garrison scheduled for tonight, October 29th has been cancelled.

Center will only have a JV game versus Jasper at 5pm at home.

October 28, 2020 - The Tenaha Tigers basketball season starts on Halloween, October 31st, with an away scrimmage game against Huntington at 12 noon. Four of Shelby County’s five varsity football teams came away with district wins last Friday.

The Center Roughriders beat the Madisonville Mustangs by a 48-10 score at Center. This week the ‘Riders will head to Jasper for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on Friday, October 30, 2020, at Bulldogs Stadium. Jasper is 6-1 and they beat Shepard High School by a 42-6 score last week.

The Joaquin Rams beat the Shelbyville Dragons 32-14 at Dragons Stadium last Friday. The Rams are now 8-0. They will travel to Timpson, on Friday, for a 7:30 p.m. game with the Bears who are 9-0 after beating West Hardin by a 63-0 score.

The Shelbyville Dragons are now 2-4 and they will head to San Augustine for a 7:30 p.m. game Friday, at Wolves Stadium. The Wolves are 3-4 and lost at home to the Garrison Bulldogs by a 32-15 score.

The Tenaha Tigers improved their 2020 season record to 6-2 when they beat visiting Cushing by a 36-6 score in front of a THS homecoming crowd last Friday. The Tigers will travel to Overton (1-6) on Friday for a 7 p.m. game at Mustangs Stadium. The Mustangs lost to Cushing two weeks ago by a 53-0 score.

October 27, 2020 - The Tenaha Boys’ Cross Country HS and JH teams came away with GOLD at the 23-2A District Meet held in Shelbyville on Monday, October 26th. The High School Boys took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and 7th, 8th, and 9th places. Junior High boys finished 1st and 2nd. Yulitza Perez, Girls Junior High team, finished 8th overall. The High School Boys’ team will advance to the Regional meet to be held in Huntsville on November 10th. Cross Country teams are coached by Laurie Sisk.

The Tenaha Tigers Varsity Football Team took a 36-6 District 11 Class 2A-2 win over the Cushing Bearkats on Friday. The win gave the Tigers a 5-0 conference mark with one game remaining and they have cliched the conference title. Tenaha stands at 6-2 overall this season. This was their 2020 Homecoming contest. Senior Drew Henry was crowned as this year's queen.

Neither team was able to score in the early going. The Tiger’s defense was able to catch the Bearkats inside the endzone at the start of the second period which gave THS a 2-0 point lead with 11:54 left in the first half. After Cushing free-kicked the ball back to the Tigers. On the Tigers first play from scrimmage Markee Rasberry took the handoff and raced 70 yards for a THS touchdown. Manuel Laredo kicked an extra point and the Tigers led 9-0 with 11:39 left in the second period.

The Tigers got a 2-yard touchdown run from senior Tre Keggler with 3:03 left in the second frame which allowed THS to take a 16-0 lead into the halftime intermission.

Rasberry scored his second touchdown on a 60-yard run with 9:20 left in the third stanza and gave Tenaha a 22-0 advantage.

Eddie Davis scored Cushing’s only points with a 3-yard scoring run with 6:02 left in the third quarter.

Keggler added another touchdown to his resume with just 10 seconds remaining in the third period to help give THS a 29-6 advantage.

The game’s final score came from a 28-yard touchdown pass from Trendon Claiborne to Tray Tutt with under 7 minutes remaining in the contest. Laredo added another extra point kick which gave the Tigers a 36-6 lead.

October 22, 2020 - The Shelbyville Dragons will play San Augustine in San Augustine on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 7:30 PM. 

The following ticket information applies:

Shelbyville has received 300 vouchers. Vouchers must be picked up at the SISD Guard booth Monday through Wednesday 8:30 am til 1:30 pm or until all vouchers have been given out. Spectators will take the voucher to the Visitor’s Ticket Booth in San Augustine and pay $5 for entry. No vouchers will be available at the gate in San Augustine.

Monday - Parents of students who are participating in the event / Students participating in the event to include: Football players, cheerleaders and water girls. Limit 2 per Student Athlete / Participant’s Family.

*** The band/majorettes/danceline will not be traveling to away games.

*** For parents with multiple students participating, the number still remains at a limit of 2 vouchers per family.
