Tim Mason added his first of many extra points kicks to give Shelbyville a 7-0 lead with 11:48 left in the opening quarter. The Jaguars first offensive drive stalled and they punted the ball back to SHS with 9 minutes remaining in the first quarter.

Dragons junior wide receive Frandrydric Buckley scored on a 30-yard touchdown reception from sophomore quarterback TJ Barnes which helped give his team a 14-0 lead with 7:41 left in the first stanza.
