November 10, 2025 - The My Sister Myself ladies will be at the parent pickup/drop-off line on Monday, November 17, between 7am and 8am, collecting donated items for the food drive!

October 31, 2023 - This Friday, November 3, 2023 Center Middle School's "My Sister, Myself" will be kicking off their annual college tour fundraising with a bucket drive. 

Our children are our future, and we believe our future can be altered for the better by investing in our children now. “My Sister, Myself” is a school-based, school-sanctioned, after school program for teen girls that was formed in January 2017 out of the desire to empower young girls as future leaders of our community.

August 5, 2021 - The Bright Morning Star Baptist Church will be hosting it's annual revival three nights, beginning Monday, August 9th - 11th at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The special guest speaker will be Pastor A.L. Horton, Sr., Reed Chapel Baptist Church, San Augustine, Texas. Please come and join us each night. The church is located at 623 Martin Luther King Drive, Center Texas.

July 11, 2019 - The Bright Morning Star Baptist Church Family, is inviting everyone to their Homecoming Services on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 3:00pm. With guest speaker Pastor Tim Teel, Bell Chapel Baptist Church of San Augustine, Texas. Revival will begin Wednesday, August 14th - Friday, August 16th. The Evangelist for the week is Pastor Bradley Hale, Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, San Augustine, Texas. Services will begin at 7:30 each evening.
