November 3, 2025 - Halloween wasn’t a thriller for most of the Shelby County Varsity Football teams as the Joaquin Rams were the only team to improve their season with a win for the week 10 of competition. Center and Joaquin have both assured their advancement to the playoffs. This last week of District play will decide the fate of whether Timpson's or Shelbyville's season is ending or continuing.

November 1, 2025 - Tenaha's Adrian Ramirez edges out Bosqueville's Cristiano Tinoco to win the 2A Cross Country Championship Saturday in Round Rock, Texas.

October 28, 2025 - Center and Joaquin clinched wins last week of varsity football competition. During Week 10, all five Shelby County teams will engage their opponent on the evening of Halloween.

October 30, 2025 - Texas Parks and Wildlife fishing reports are updated each week, usually by Thursday morning. The reports are compiled by an outside contractor who receives the information from bait shops, marinas and fishing guides. Only the local lakes are listed below. October 21, 2025 - The Center Roughriders' game against Brownsboro has been moved to Thursday, October 23 with a 7:30pm kick-off. The 7th and 8th grades will play in Brownsboro Wednesday, October 22 with game times the same and ticket links will be updated. The 9th and JV games vs Brownsboro at Center HS are currently TBD as we are awaiting confirmation from our officials chapter.
