February 19, 2026 - In keeping with the Center Garden Club’s goal of sharing natures beauty throughout our community club member Cherry Jones has placed this lovely bouquet at the Community House for all early voters to enjoy.
February 2, 2026 - Center Garden Club Youth Committee members Jennifer Whittlesey (chair) and Alane Sheaves recently visited Mrs. Brittain's Center High School horticulture class to present a program focusing on Texas native species emphasizing the role that they play in our ecosystem.
January 7, 2026 - The Center Garden Club met for its December meeting in the home of Carolyn Bounds who served a holiday lunch and presented the program, "Trees for Christmas."
December 3, 2025 - On the recent chilly morning of December 2nd, Center Garden Club members turned out to create festive Christmas designs for the eight urns on the Center square. Each urn is now filled with a variety of East Texas fresh greenery such as pine, magnolia, yaupon, cedar, cypress, and arbor vitae which members had gathered from Shelby County's beautiful forests, lawns, and shrub gardens.
October 28, 2025 - Community beautification is a major goal of the Center Garden Club. Recently, several members gathered to decorate the planter urns on the downtown square for fall. The club wishes to thank the City of Center for its support with this project.
