February 6, 2026 - Joaquin ISD has scheduled a Substitute Teacher Training and Orientation on Thursday, February 12, 10am at the JISD Administration office. This will probably be the last training scheduled for the 2025-2026 school year. If interested please make every effort to attend.

The next training will be held in June for the 2026-2027 school year in which all active substitutes will be required to attend.

September 26, 2025 - Joaquin ISD is holding a substitute teacher training and orientation on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10am until approximately 12 noon. The training will be held at the JISD Administration Building located at the scoreboard end of the football field. If interested please go to the www.joaquinisd.net website and complete the substitute application online.

August 28, 2024 - Joaquin ISD has scheduled a substitute training and orientation for Thursday, September 5, 2024 10am at the Joaquin ISD Administration Office. If you are interested in becoming a substitute for JISD please complete an online application through our website under employment opportunities. You must have a high school diploma or a GED to substitute in an instructional setting. A criminal background history check must be conducted through a  fingerprinting process initiated by a Texas school district through the Texas Education Agency.

August 22, 2022 - Joaquin ISD has scheduled a substitute orientation and training for Friday, August 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. The orientation will be held at the Joaquin ISD Administration Building located at the far end of the football field.
