March 30, 2016 - There will be a trash dumpster along with a recycle dumpster in Timpson beginning April 2nd. The trash dumpster which will be located on Railroad Ave beside City Hall will be picked up when it has reached capacity. The Recycle Dumpster which will be located by the gazebo will arrive on April 2nd and remain through April 8th.

December 30, 2015 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the governing body of the above named City will be held on the 4th day of January 2016 at 5:30 pm. at the City Hall, 456 Jacob Street, Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:

  1. Discuss and take action: The Council will accept the resignation of Mayor Debra Smith.

  2. Discuss and take action: The Council will deliberate and appoint a new Mayor. The new Mayor will serve only until the May 2016 Election when that seat will be open.
