August 19, 2019 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the governing body of the above named City will be held on the 22nd day of August, 2019 at 5:15pm at the City Hall, 456 Jacob Street, Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit:  

1. Conduct interviews with applicants for the position of part-time administrative clerk  (5:15 – 6:15pm)

2. Discuss and take action to hire part-time administrative clerk, pay rate and start date. (6:30pm)

Broadway to Retire from City of Timpson

July 16, 2019 - After 35 years working devotedly as Utility Secretary for the City of Timpson, Charlotte Broadway, a long time resident of Timpson Texas, is set to retire on September 30, 2019.  

Mrs. Broadway began working for the City of Timpson on February 1, 1984. A Retirement Reception will be held July 16th immediately following the 5:30pm City Council Meeting at the City Hall. 

All friends, coworkers, and well-wishers are welcome to attend.

May 21, 2018 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the governing body of the above named City will be held on the 21st day of May 2018 at 5:30 pm. at the City Hall, 456 Jacob Street, Timpson, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be considered, to-wit: 

1. Discuss and take action: The Council will discuss hiring a seasonal employee 40 hours a week to help while Henry Marx is out on Workman’s Comp. Note that this is only a seasonal job and there will be no benefits offered.
