February 10, 2017 - Open Hearts for Brooklynn is a fundraising campaign for Brooklynn Swann, a Tenaha ISD student who was born with major heart complications diagnosed as Hypoplastic Left Syndrome (HLHS).
February 8, 2017 - A frightening and sad day for families of shutdown workers at a plant in DeRidder, Louisiana. With many East Texas families making a living working shutdowns and oil field industry jobs which take them away from home, there were Shelby County folks working at the Packaging Corporation of America's DeRidder Containerboard Mill today, February 8, 2017 when an explosion occurred.
February 3, 2017 - Final sign-up days for the Shelbyville Youth Sports Baseball/Softball are this Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4 at First Baptist Church in Shelbyville.
Hours are Friday from 5:30pm until 8pm and Saturday from 9am until 12noon. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate to sign-ups if first year playing in Shelbyville. Child must be 4 years old to play.
Cost is $85 for 1st child, $80 for 2nd child, and $75 for each additional child. Uniforms will be available for sizing.
