December 8, 2016 - Middle Schools competed at Joaquin ISD in the UIL District 22AA Junior High contest on Thursday, December 8, 2016. Total point summary at the end of Day 2 has Woden in the lead with 644.5 points Shelbyville with 639 points and and Joaquin with 620.8 points. Timpson had 351.1 total points, Tenaha 297 points, Chireno had 214.5 points, and San Augustine had 175 points.

December 8, 2016 - (Photos submitted by Michelle Peña) The Shelbyville Middle School theater group performed their One Act play, 'The Miracle Worker' authored by William Gibson, on Tuesday, November 29th in the cafetorium.

December 6, 2016 - The first day of UIL District 22AA Elementary contest was held in Joaquin on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Total school points reported at this time are Joaquin in 1st place with 241 points, Shelbyville in 2nd place with 91 points, Woden in 3rd place with 86 points, Chireno has 47 points, Tenaha has 20 points, San Augustine has 18 points, and Timpson has 8 points. December 3, 2016 - A two-vehicle crash occurred on US Highway 59 near the Attoyac Bridge south of Timpson on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:40pm after a vehicle hydroplaned.
