December 17, 2015 - The Center PD Ladies Auxiliary presented a $100 donation to Center Police patrol officers who are collecting toys to distribute on Christmas Eve. The donation is in memory of Edna Boykins who loved Christmas.
December 16, 2015 - The Center Lady Riders traveled to Elysian Field Tuesday, December 15th coming away with a JV win but a varsity loss.
Center JV Lady Riders defeated Elysian Fields JV with a final score of 26-15. Center's points scored were by Harper 8, Cartwright 6, Fullbright 4, Watts 3, Johnson 2, Nash 2, and Williams 1.
Center Varsity Lady Riders scored 20 which was no match for Elysian Fields 60. Center's points scored were by Hightower 8, Nichols 6, Lilly 2, Hicks 2, Evans 1, Hubbard 1.

December 9, 2015 - A large crowd attended the last Business After Hours for the 2015 year which was held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Mooney’s Emporium on the Center square.
December 9, 2015 - Several Center Police officers are collecting toys to distribute on Christmas Eve. Donations can be dropped off at the Center Police Department or you can drop off donations at Shelby County Today office, 229 San Augustine Street, Center.
One of the participating officers said, "We just want to help out several families in the community who are having a difficult time giving their kids a good Christmas."
December 3, 2015 - A two-vehicle crash blocked both eastbound lanes of traffic on State Highway 7 West at the intersection of FM 711 on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 1:50pm. The Center Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to assist with traffic control.
December 2, 2015 - During a noon luncheon at the John D Windham Civic Center Tuesday, December 1 with guest speaker Representative Chris Paddie, the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce announced the 2015 Moosberg Awards to an audience of the Center Rotary Club, Center Noon Lions Club, Shelby County employees, Shelby County Judge Allison Harbison, and Chamber of Commerce members and ambassadors.
