September 29, 2015 - 280 people attended the 38th Annual Shelby County Ducks Unlimited (SCDU) Dinner at the Windham Civic Center on Saturday, September 12 and the grandmother of Jacob Hughes won the 4th Annual Jacob Hughes gun.
September 18, 2015 - Despite being in the lead at half-time, Center JV falls to Jasper with a 2-point loss, Center 30, Jasper 32.
The game got off to a quick start with Center receiving the kick-off and driving the length of the field scoring on a 15-yard pass from Clay Snider to Jamarh Johnson. The extra point attempt by Raul Lara was good and Center takes the lead 7 to 0.
September 16, 2015 - The Center Fire Department is currently fighting an industrial fire at the old Armstrong Bruce plant. They are responding with two pumper trucks, ladder truck and grass truck.
September 16, 2015 - The Family Dollar in Shelbyville is slated to open Thursday, September 17, 2015. The new location is approximately 8,300 square feet which is an average size. Each of the Family Dollar stores employs between 8-10 associates.
September 15, 2015 - Coach Bowman hosted the first Coffee with the Coach last week, September 9th in the Administrative building of Center ISD located off US Hwy 96 North. "Its about the kids, its not about me standing up here and talking about football or whatever.
September 11, 2015 - The Center HS Cross Country varsity boys earned 1st place out of 28 teams (1A-4A) at the 4th Annual Hallsville XC Invitational Meet held Friday morning, September 11, 2015 in Hallsville.
In the 5K race, Giovani Angel placed 3rd out of the total 235 runners. Ruben Soto placed 9th followed by Arnol Escobedo who placed 11th.
September 4, 2015 - Thursday evening, September 3rd, Center (JV) Roughriders struggled against the Buna (JV) Cougars with the final score being 28-6.
To start the game, Buna won the toss and elected to receive the ball. The Cougars drove to the Center 10 yard line; however, the Riders defense held them and neither team got on the board during the first quarter.

September 2, 2015 - Shelby County firemen took to the streets on Saturday morning, August 29th to fill the boot to fight muscle disease. Firemen have been supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) for 60 years strong.
