Suspect Arrested in US 96 Shooting Incident; Victims Identified

June 19, 2015 - According to a press release from the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, Marcus Hill, 33 of Shelbyville, was arrested Friday morning, June 19, 2015 and booked into the Shelby County The driver's side window were the shotgun shell entered the vehicle.

1940s Video Footage of Big Ditch

June 18, 2015 - Some time in 1901 there was a rain storm in the southern part of Shelby County which allegedly created Big Ditch. See video footage with the voice of Dr. John Rogers reminiscing and describing video of Big Ditch taken by his father, Dr. Y.W. "Hap" Rogers about 1940.

June 16, 2015 - Town Historian Buster Bounds has shared a little piece of history with a YouTube video of the Dr. Y. W. Rogers family of Center, Texas who recorded their trip to Barksdale Field circa 1939. Barksdale Field later became Barksdale Air Force Base in January 1948. The video reflects a Sunday afternoon family outing.
