The Center Lady Roughriders Varsity Basketball Team took an impressive 61-27 win on the road against the Hemphill lady Hornets on Monday. The non-district win improved Center’s record to 6-3.
The Timpson Bears best-ever varsity football season came to an end in the Class 2A Division I state semifinals on Thursday night at Randall Reed Stadium in New Caney. The Bears came into the game as the #4 seed and they lost to the #1 Shiner Comanches by a 49-7 margin.
The Tenaha Tigers varsity football team had their season end on a 54-23 elimination loss during Friday’s Region III / State Quarterfinal round elimination game with the Mart Panthers (13-0). The Tigers’ final record finished at 10 wins and 3 losses.
The Timpson Bears Varsity Football Team moved their season record to 11-0 with a 66-7 bi-district playoff win over the Frankston Indians.
The Indians came out strong early with a 60-yard opening kickoff return and an eight-play scoring drive which gave them an early 7-0 point lead, their only lead and score for the day.
