The Joaquin Lady Rams varsity softball team won their ninth consecutive game with a 6-2 win over the visiting Timpson Lady Bears. Joaquin now stands at 16-1 overall. Their District 23 2A mark is 9-0.

The Center Roughriders Varsity Baseball Team was unable to hit safely during their District 17-4A opener against the Rusk Eagles. The ‘Riders sole base runner came in the final inning when Garren Dubea drew a free base with two outs.

The Timpson Bears Varsity Baseball Team boosted their District 23 2A record with a 11-5 conference win over the Shelbyville Dragons on Friday. The game was scoreless through two innings.

The Center Lady Roughriders struggled early offensively against the Carthage Lady Bulldogs and they eventually lost the District 17 4A varsity softball opener by a 10-3 score.

The Tenaha Tiger varsity baseball team suffered their sixth straight loss on Friday at home. The team lost to the visiting Martinsville Pirates by a 20-0 score in a District 23 2A contest.

The Timpson Lady Bears varsity softball team won a District 22 2A conference game over the Shelbyville Lady Dragons by a 11-1 score. A 3-run home run over the leftfield fence by Bear’s senior first baseman Johna Kruse in the second inning, during a rally, gave THS an early 5-1 advantage.
