November 5, 2024 - State Loop 500 (SL500) at Waterhouse Street was the scene of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash incident on November 5, 2024, in which the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries.

November 1, 2024 - A Shelby County Grand Jury handed down 20 indictments on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The grand jury was impaneled for the July 2024 term of the 123rd Judicial District Courts.

Abriel Leeroy Jasso was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, second degree felony. The indictment alleges, on September 2, 2024, Jasso used or exhibited a 9mm Luger, and did intentionally, and knowingly threaten imminent bodly injury to Candi Sholar, J.S., and Kenny Hatchett by shooting at the vehicle they occupied.
