In God's Word: Peace With God

September 18, 2019 - All people seek peace whether it be at their work, or in their family life, or in the relationship of their country to others around them.

All seek peace at some point in their lives. I want to tell you about the greatest peace of all, the peace that only comes through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

For all who have accepted his free offer of salvation, deliverance from the penalties of sin, for which the penalty is death of one’s life spirit.

In God's Word: Trust

September 9, 2019 - To trust in someone or something is ; “to rely on the truthfulness and accuracy of - to place confidence in - to believe in, to trust”. We know that if we are to believe in Jesus Christ as the eternal living God then we must trust in his words, we must trust in the words of the Bible. For if we cannot trust in the Bible as the inspired word of God, how then can we believe in what we cannot see, trust what we cannot touch and eventually, receive what we have hoped for and believed in?

In God's Word: Godly Works

September 2, 2019 - The question of godly works -

Jesus tells us that we are to be the light of the world, and he explains that people do not light a lamp in their house and then put a cover over it. No, they set it on a stand so all in the room can see by its light. And then he says of us,

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:18)

And James, the brother of Jesus, said this about good works,

In God's Word: Too Bad

August 30, 2019 - There are those people who believe that something they have done in their lives would forever prevent them from being saved, from being accepted as his own by the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is not what the Bible teaches and for all who have this feeling, “I have been too bad for Jesus to ever love me, there is just no use for me to even ask him to forgive me for I am lost forever.”

Let me tell you about a man whom I assure you was much worse that you, a man who lived to persecute and execute Christians every day.

In God's Word: Faith that Empowers

August 19, 2019 - It is our faith as followers of the Most High God and his Son Jesus Christ that gives us power to withstand and overcome the world around us.

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith.” (1 John 5:4)

Only by faith are we saved and only by faith can we overcome the world.

Once one is born of God, he is no longer controlled by his fleshly desires nor overly bothered by the temptations of the world.

In God's Word: Racism or Hatred?

July 29, 2019 - Every day we are besieged by claims of racism in every media. If one differs in belief to anyone who is defined as being on the “left-side of the isle” then he is falsely labeled as being racist. Let us look at the word “racism” and see what it actually means according to the dictionary.

Racism- “Prejudice or discrimination against others.” I would submit to you that there is but one race on earth, the human race, comprised of two sexes, male and female.

In God’s Word: Love One Another

July 22, 2019 - Let us look this morning at the cure for all that ails the world around us. Could it be that we could have a cure for the problems of the world, oh, but we do, and it is written out for us in God’s Holy Word just waiting for us to deliver it to the world…

So here is that long-sought-after-cure…

“For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.” (1 John 3:11)

So simple in word, so difficult in deed, to just love one another.

In God's Word: Imperishable

July 15, 2019 - God created the first man, Adam, and placed him in the Garden of Eden. A paradise on earth, a place of utmost beauty, rich in all the things which man could ever need in his lifetime.

God gave Adam a wife, a woman named Eve which He created from one rib taken from Adam’s body that she might be made from man and called woman.

God gave Adam and Eve only one rule, one command other than to live in and tend the garden, that was not to eat from the tree that grew in the center of the garden, the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
