In God's Word: My Redeemer Lives

June 8, 2020 - Why are Christians, those who profess Jesus Christ as Lord of all, different from the world?

It is simple really, because we who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Sovereign Lord and Savior worship not some golden image or wooden idol made by the hands of man, nor some long dead god or prophet of olden times.

No, we worship the one true living God of this universe, creator of all things and Savior of the world.

In God's Word: My Deliverer

June 3, 2020 - Jesus said that by the love we have for one another we will be known in this world as his disciples.

By our attitudes toward others, by our willingness to help those less fortunate than ourselves, by our eternal faith in our precious Lord Jesus Christ, the attitude of one whose future is secure, one whose destiny is set and one who has the knowledge that nothing the world can do can effect that destiny of truth and love.

So what happens when one puts his trust in the Lord and accepts the Son of God as his own personal Lord and Master?

In God's Word: Delight to Do His Will

"I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is written in my heart." (Psalm 40:8)

May 21, 2020 - The delight of all who have given their lives to God, to do his will each day, to shine the light of the gospel of Christ Jesus through our lives lived for him. To live as examples of the goodness, love, grace and mercy of our Lord God.

"I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." (Hebrews 8:10)

In God's Word: Where Will You Be?

May 12, 2020 - All people have an eternal decision to make before our deaths here on earth.

Since the days of Adam and Eve and their original sin in the garden of Eden man has been born with an internal sin nature that does not allow any one of us to live a perfect and sinless life as did Jesus Christ.

No, we are not able due to the sin of Adam to live without sin no matter how holy our intentions.

Even the apostle Paul admits that he could follow a sinless life as he wished but would fall back into sin even though his only wish was to serve the Lord.

In God’s Word: God's Promises

"Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)

May 5, 2020 - God promises man many things, none of which can be greater to those who have accepted him as Lord than the promise in (Isaiah 41:10)

In God's Word: My Lord, My God

April 20, 2020 - Fear is a common thread throughout the world today.

Fear of the unknown and fear of the known. Fear of man and fear of disease, fear of all things that may cause harm.

However, for those who love the Lord there is no need for fear, in fact we are instructed not to fear.

Does this mean that for those who love God that nothing will ever happen or that they will never experience harm? No, it means that no matter what does happen that all who do love the Lord are to be safe and secure in his house forever.

In God's Word: Free At Last

April 14, 2020 - For about 400 years the Jewish people were enslaved in Egypt but then the Lord God brought them out of slavery led by a man named Moses. For 40 years the Lord led them around in the wilderness until the older rebellious ones had died off and then he led their children out and into the Promised Land that he had promised to the fathers.

"All this took about 450 years. And after that he gave them judges until Samuel the prophet.

In God’s Word: I Will Dwell in His House Forever

April 6, 2020 - Please allow me to ask you a most important question this morning a question to which the answer will be the most important answer you will ever give. For it will be your answer that shows your personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

I ask you, "Please tell me, where will you be 200 years from now?"

You may say, "I can't answer that, how can anyone know that?"

In God's Word: Fear Not, For I Am with You

March 31, 2020 - I am a positive person, my glass is almost always half full and almost never half empty and so it grieves me to keep talking about fear, but fear is what is gripping our world today.

Fear of the unknown, fear of the CV19 virus, fear for our own lives and the lives of our loved ones in the face of this dread disease.

But, I have heard enough of this fear and wish to tell you, not about the great storms of life that we all face, but about the Great God that guides me through all storms.
