March 11, 2015 - Tenaha Elementary teacher Nina Vick and husband Coach Vick were both excited to welcome their baby girl last summer. It had been an uneventful pregnancy up to that point, so when she began having contractions on the morning of June 8th, she assumed that she was experiencing those oh-so-common Braxton Hicks contractions. She headed to the hospital thinking they would be sent right home; never once did she think they would ever be leaving the hospital without their beautiful baby girl.

February 17, 2015 - Members of the Tenaha & Joaquin Masonic Lodges sponsored and handed out dental kits through the Fantastic Teeth Fan Club to Tenaha 1st Graders last week.
February 11, 2015 - This past Saturday,February 7, 14 Roarin' Band Students performed in three small ensembles at the Region 21 UIL Solo & Ensemble at Stephen F. Austin University.
All three groups performed well, and received helpful comments.
A woodwind quartet consisting of Chyenne Koller, Janeth Trejo, Mercedes Rountree, and Ariday Hernandez (Katelyn Keller-alternate) received a division 1 and advanced to the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest!
January 22,2015 - Saturday, the Tenaha Robotics team climbed onto the bus at 6:00 A.M. headed to Tyler for the Regional Meet. The Tenaha teams had been working hard getting their robots and programs ready for this meet.
This year the robots were to plant seeds (pvc pipe) allow the seeds to grow (wiffle balls placed on the pipes) and then harvest their crop. Points were awarded for gathering the harvest, carrying the harvest to the barn, and then clean the field by removing the pipes and placing them in the barn as well.
January 12, 2015 - Roarin' Band trombone player, Jacob Samford, placed second at All-Area tryouts Saturday, and advanced to the ATSSB Texas All-State Band.
