October 24, 2018 - Area Band contest is October 27 at Pine Tree High School in Longview. The Shelbyville Dragon band marches at 3:45pm.

October 12, 2018 - The Shelbyville Varsity Football team selected Crystal Harrison as Teacher of the Week.

October 10, 2018 - The Dragon Band will perform at the NAMMB (National Association of Military Marching Bands) Pre-UIL Marching Contest in Carthage, TX at Bulldog Stadium on Saturday, October 13 at 11am.

The Dragon Band’s Region 21 UIL Marching Contest performance will be on Saturday, October 20 at 11:15am in Nacogdoches, TX at Homer Bryce Stadium (SFA).

The band is lead by Band Director Deshmond Johnson and Asst. Band Director Kaci Trent Ashley.

October 8, 2018 - Huxley Helping Hands, a local Mission Group from the Huxley Community, are holding a food pantry for the residents of Shelby County. It will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018. Identification and proof of residency will be required. Only (1) box per household will be given.

Sogm om starts at 9am until food is gone. The Food pantry is at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 901 Southview Circle, Center, Texas.

September 24, 2018 - Shelbyville High School will be hosting 'See You at the Pole' on Wednesday, September 26th at 7:35am at the Shelbyville HS flag pole.
