May 4, 2017 - Shelbyville High School is honored to announce Halie Lavergne as the 2017 recipient of the Smith-Hutson Scholarship. The Smith-Hutson Scholarship seeks to provide opportunities to students, who otherwise may not have a chance to earn a baccalaureate degree, the financial means to do so.
May 3, 2017 - Shelbyville High School will be holding Project Graduation this year on May 19, 2017. Project Graduation is a drug and alcohol free event that lasts all night. It provides a safe alternative for graduates who might otherwise be partying. It keeps graduates off the roads, prevents them from becoming an accident statistic, and gives their parents ease knowing their son/daughter is safely celebrating.
May 2, 2017 - The Shelbyville Dragons will play Colmesneil in the Bi-District Playoffs in Hemphill in a best 2 out of 3 series. First game is May 4 at 7pm; Second game is Friday, May 5 at 7pm and Saturday, May 6 at 1pm if necessary.
April 24, 2017 - Parents of students living outside the Shelbyville Independent School District who wish their children to attend Shelbyville Schools during the 2017-2018 school year must request transfer no later than May 31, 2017. This applies to both old and new transfer students. New transfers who are approved will be required to pay tuition to attend.
