December 11, 2015 - On Thursday, December 10th, Panola College conducted its 76th commencement at the Carthage Civic Center. Panola College had 251 degree and certificate candidates and 116 of those students participated in the commencement ceremony.
December 11, 2015 - On December 10, 2015, Sue Haynes, Customer Service Representative for AEP SWEPCO, presented Panola College President, Dr. Greg Powell, and Alan Moon, Director of Facilities, with an initial $6,480.50 incentive check for participation in AEP SWEPCO’s SCORE program. SWEPCO SCORE is a no-cost program that supports participating schools reduce peak electricity consumption and corresponding costs.
December 4, 2015 - The Panola College Workforce and Continuing Education division is offering a Paraprofessional Online class beginning on Monday, January 11, 2016 – February 5, 2016. December 2, 2015 - On December 2, Panola College celebrated 305 years of combined service throughout the careers of many long-term employees at its annual Christmas buffet. Those with 10 years of service include Rebekah Burkhalter, Don Cocklin, Patti Galiano, Johnny Middlebrook, and Dr. Joe Shannon. Employees with 15 years of service are Mary Chance, Dr. Barbara Cordell, Jeremy Dorman, David Godwin, Connie Hockett, Bill Kruger, Dr. Gregory Powell, Patti Rushing, Allen West, Laura Wood, and Bobby Phillips, a Panola College Board of Trustees.
November 25, 2015 - The Panola College Alumni Association is proud to announce the selection of Dr. Danny Paul Windham as the 2015 Panola College Alumnus of the Year. Dr. Windham will be recognized at the Panola College commencement ceremony scheduled for Thursday, December 11, at 7pm in the Carthage Civic Center.
November 23, 2015 - On Saturday, November 21, the winning ticket of the Cruisin’ for College Car Raffle benefitting the Panola College Foundation was drawn in front of a group of Panola Ponies basketball fans at half-time.
November 23, 2015 - The Sounds of Swing will present a concert on December 8 benefiting the Panola College Music Department. Admission is $10 for general admission and $5 for the Panola family. The concert will start at 7:00PM and feature music from the "big band era" as well as holiday favorites and plenty of dance music!
November 9, 2015 - With the opening of the new Charles C. Matthews Foundation Student Center, Panola College now offers classes in aerial yoga. A dedicated yoga room in the new Fitness Center includes the suspended fabric hammocks used in this newest form of yoga.
November 19, 2015 - Panola College students visited the Dallas Museum of Art on Thursday, Nov. 12, through a grant funded by the Panola College Foundation. Art Professor Ann Boland wrote the grant to provide students the opportunity to experience a large city museum.
November 18, 2015 - CARTHAGE, TX - On November 18, 2015 Brookshire Brothers in Carthage presented the Panola College Foundation with a $500 check towards a sponsorship at the Foundation’s annual gala fundraiser.
