May 7, 2015 - Panola College's School of Energy hosted its 2nd Annual Women in Energy Forum on Wednesday, April 29. Over 260 Junior and Senior female students representing eleven school districts including Beckville, Carthage, Center, Joaquin, Karnack, Marshall, Martinsville, Shelbyville, Stanley, Tenaha, and Timpson attended the event. Speakers for this year’s event included Allie Garcia, XTO Energy; Stephanie Mosier, Chevron; Nancy Keeling, Anadarko; Amy Calhoun, Panola College.
April 29, 2015 - Four Panola College RN students presented a poster presentation on "Bridging the Gap Between Clinical Education and New Graduate Practice" at the East Texas Summit for the 'Texas Team Future of Nursing'. The summit was held at Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler, TX on April 24, 2015 with over 170 participants from area hospitals, colleges and universities. The students, Bradley Baker, Melissa Jeane, Amanda Woodfin, and Rachel Gardner will be graduating with Associate Degrees in Nursing on May 15th.
April 28, 2015 - The Panola College Workforce and Continuing Education office is now offering a Dental Assisting program. The class is scheduled to begin Friday, June 5, 2015. Class time begins at 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Merle Glass building on the Carthage Campus. The cost of the program is $1,799.00 and preregistration is required. April 28, 2015 - The Panola College Workforce and Continuing Education office is now offering CNA – Certified Nurse Aide program. This class is scheduled for Monday, June 1, 2015 and will meet Monday through Thursday until July 16, 2015. Class time begins at 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the Merle Glass building on the Carthage Campus. The cost of the program is $675.00 and preregistration is required. April 25, 2015 - Panola College earned a spot in the top 10 ranking of Digital Community Colleges in the most recent survey and competition, tying for ninth place in the small college category of schools with under 5,000 students. Allen West, Panola College Director of Information Technology, made the announcement on Thursday, April 16.
April 17, 2015 - Panola College Kids’ College is a summer enrichment program provided on the Panola College campuses in both Carthage and Center. Kids’ College is scheduled this year in Carthage for June 22-25 and in Center for June 29 - July 1. It is presented by the Office of Workforce and Continuing Education.
April 17, 2015 - On Thursday, April 16,Panola College’s Shelby Regional Training Center held a welding contest for area high schools. The winning students received scholarships and prizes donated by local companies.
April 6, 2015 - The ETMC Auxiliary awarded three Panola College Associate Degree Nursing students academic scholarships for spring 2015. March 24, 2015 - Panola College's Workforce and Continuing Education Department is proud to announce the successful completion of the first Licensed Massage Therapy Class. These students have worked hard to complete the 12 month program and are ready for the state licensing exam.
