August 31, 2018 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will kick off their 2018 - 2019 year with a brunch on Saturday, September 8, at 10:00AM at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center. Chapter officers will be the hostesses. During the brunch we will have a look back at last year's accomplishments and a look forward to next year's plans and goals.

July 16, 2018 - The 127th annual convention of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas was held at the Dallas Addison Quorum Hotel in Addison earlier this summer.

May 3, 2018 - Just a reminder that the annual Truitt Cemetery Homecoming is this Saturday, May 5, at the pavilion at the Truitt Cemetery.

This is the time to gather with family and friends, perhaps meet some new cousins, decorate your loved ones graves and honor your ancestors and perhaps learn more about your family history. The program and business meeting will begin at 11am and the covered dish luncheon will be at noon. 

The Cemetery Board will meet at 5pm Friday evening in the Truitt Cemetery Pavilion. Come help keep the tradition alive.

February 6, 2018 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet Saturday, February 10, at 10am at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center.

For the program Gina Ferren will continue the story of the journey of one of her ancestor families to Texas.

Hostesses for the meeting are Fay Eddins, Sue Gardner and Evon Daw. We will also update plans for the 2018 DRT Convention in Addison, TX. For more information call Maggie at 248-3361.

November 29, 2017 - If you coming to the Christmas parade in Center Saturday, December 2, stop by the DRT building on the Courthouse Square and say "howdy."

Members of the William Carroll Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will be there to meet our friends, neighbors and relations and welcome in the Christmas season.
