November 14, 2019 - General filings began on November 9, 2019. Precinct chairs started on September 10th. Candidates for County Chairman or any other position on the ballot who would like to file for the 2020 Primaries, may contact Patsy Handy, Shelby County Chair for the Democratic Party, at 936-657-5018 for filing applications. October 11, 2019 - There will be voter registration this Saturday, October 12th at Portacool Park starting at 10 am for 2020 elections. Please come out if you need to get registered to vote. Please contact Patsy Handy at 936-657-5018 or 936-332-4338 (c) for more information.

The deadline for voters to have been able to vote in the November 2019 election was October 7th.

September 23, 2019 - Democratic monthly meeting will be held at the Rancho Grande at 816 Tenaha Street, Center TX on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. The meeting will start at 6pm.
