January 24, 2022 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will not have Preschool Story Time or Crafternoons this Wednesday, January 26th due to high Covid case numbers.
November 12, 2021 - The library would like to thank all the Friends of the Library and others who helped with the Library's Fall Book Sale. There was only one week to get ready for the sale and one day to take it down. Everyone was amazing.
October 13, 2021 - Friends of the Library will be conducting their fall book sale at the Fannie Brown Booth Library from October 28 to October 30.
The library is located at 619 Tenaha Street, Center, TX. The sale will run Thursday, October 28 from 10am until 6pm, Friday, October 29 from 10am until 4pm, and the final day is Saturday, October 30 from 10am until 2pm. Proceeds benefit the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library.
September 28, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will host a Genealogy Lineage Workshop on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, 1pm to 4pm. The Ladies from the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will be leading the workshop.
August 11, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will once again be having Preschool Story Time on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Story Time is for ages 2-5 years of age and must be accompanied by a caregiver. We will have a story, a simple craft, and songs. Come join us for lots of fun!
July 6, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library's summer children’s programs are almost finished. Our last program will feature Magician David Wonder. He will perform his dazzling tricks at the Library on Wednesday, July 7, at 10:30am. This show is appropriate for children ages 5 - 13 years of age.
Remember reading logs are due Friday, July 9th.
Our Summer Reading/Learning Program is sponsored by the Center Noon Lions Club.
June 24, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will host the Texas Traveling Trunk program on Saturday, June 26th, at 10:30 a.m. The program will be presented by the William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Many interesting items from the first days of Texas will be on display, as well as demonstrations of daily life in early Texas.
