Last Week of Library's Summer Reading/Learning Program

July 6, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library's summer children’s programs are almost finished. Our last program will feature Magician David Wonder. He will perform his dazzling tricks at the Library on Wednesday, July 7, at 10:30am. This show is appropriate for children ages 5 - 13 years of age.

Remember reading logs are due Friday, July 9th.

Our Summer Reading/Learning Program is sponsored by the Center Noon Lions Club.

Fannie Brown Booth Library to Host Texas Traveling Trunk

June 24, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will host the Texas Traveling Trunk program on Saturday, June 26th, at 10:30 a.m. The program will be presented by the William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Many interesting items from the first days of Texas will be on display, as well as demonstrations of daily life in early Texas.

What's Happening at the Library this Wednesday, Thursday?

June 14, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will have Preschool Story Time Wednesday, June 16th, at 10:30am. We will have a story, crafts, songs and lots of fun. This is for ages 2-5 years, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., we will have our Adult program. This week we are working on Junk Journals. Come join us. All materials are provided.

Library Summer Reading Program Off to Great Start

June 11, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library Summer Reading/Learning Program got off to a great start.

On Wednesday morning, our Preschool Story Time for ages 2-5 years resumed with a bang. Our story, 'The Monkey Goes Bananas,' was dramatically read by Terri Lacher. Crafts and music were enjoyed by all.

On Thursday, our Imagineers (ages 6-8) had a blast building marshmallow shooters, rocket launchers and learning about propulsion. The Tweens (ages 9-13) learned valuable skills in map-reading and enjoyed a race to find the shortest route to South Padre Island.

2021 Summer Program Kicks Off June 9th

June 9, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will kick off the 2021 Summer Reading/Learning Program Wednesday, June 9th. Preschool Story Time will begin at 10:30 am. This is for children ages 2-5 years. We will have a story, songs, crafts and lots of fun.

Wednesday, June 9 at 2:00 pm, we will have our Adult program. This week, we will be making stress kits.

Thursday, June 10 at 10:30 am, our Imagineers (ages 6-8 years) will meet and have a marshmallow shoot.

Free Concert at Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library

May 31, 2021 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will host a free concert on Thursday, June 3rd, at 5pm in the Library’s Reddit Room. Adler and Hearne will perform a “spirited blend of original folk and jazz with deep Texas roots.“ 

This concert is sponsored by the Texas Commission on the Arts. This is a family-friendly concert. Come and enjoy.

Lions Club Sponsors 2021 Summer Reading, Learning Program

May 21, 2021 - Summer is right around the corner and the Fannie Brown Booth Library is getting ready for the 2021 Summer Reading/Learning Program.

Our first event will be Wednesday, June 9th, at 10:30 a.m. with Summer Preschool Story Time. This program is for ages 2-5 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. will be our Adult Programs.
