September 15, 2022 — With drought affecting most of the state over the summer, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) biologists foresee a moderate season for hunters this fall.

May 2, 2022 – Enrollment in the Managed Lands Deer Program (MLDP) is now open for the 2022-23 hunting season. Open enrollment for the MLDP Conservation Option runs from April 2 through June 15 this year while the Harvest Option opens May 1and runs through Sept. 1. Fees are charged for each enrollment option. Enrollments and fee payments can all be made through Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) Land Management Assistance online system.
