May 3, 2019 - The Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Spring Fundraiser on Saturday, May 4th.

Beginning at 11:00 a.m., BBQ plates with your choice of sliced beef or sausage will be available at the fire station for $8.00, including potato salad, beans and a soft drink. The evening events will begin earlier this year to include some added excitement. The annual Cake Walk will start at 4:00 p.m., featuring cakes, pies and cookies from some of the area’s best bakers.

May 3, 2019 - The mobile Shredding Unit will be available on the Historic Downtown Center Square on Friday, May 3rd from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Community members are invited to bring documents that need to be shredded.

The Recycle Containers will be on the Downtown Square from May 3rd – 5th. Items NOT permitted in the containers are as follows:

April 29, 2019 - The Shelbyville Volunteer Fire Department would like to express our sincerest appreciation to each person who supported our recent BBQ fundraiser. We were able to raise over $11,000 for the SVFD due to the generosity of our donors and volunteers, and thanks especially our community members who came out to purchase plates, raffle tickets and make additional monetary donations despite the unfavorable weather conditions.
