October 1, 2018 - Columnist Dickie Dixon appeared with David Renscher, Chief Genealogical Officer for FamilySearch.org last Saturday in Dallas at the Irish Genealogy Conference where David spoke at the J. Erik Jonsson Library in downtown Dallas.
September 28, 2018 - The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Auxiliary passed out birthday cupcakes to employees working around the Center Square on Friday, September 28th. The VFW is celebrating its 118th Birthday and the Auxiliary is celebrating its 103rd Birthday.
September 27, 2018 - Bill O’Neal gave a history of Texas in World War I to the Shelby County Museum on October 18, 2018. He first gave the group a parameter on world war. There had not been a war in nearly a century since the Napoleonic War which lasted into the early 1800s. This spilled over to the United States for War of 1812. World War I started in 1914 in Europe.
