May 17, 2016 - At their monthly meeting on Monday, May 16th the Auxiliary to Shelby County Memorial VFW Post 8904 installed their new officers for the coming year July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017.
May 16, 2016 - The Center FFA would like to thank all of the parents, teachers, administrators and friends for your support and encouragement throughout this year. We appreciate each and every person who attended our annual awards banquet and helped us celebrate another outstanding year. May 16, 2016 - As we approach Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th, 2016 this reminder: The US Flag and any other flags flying with it should be lowered to half-staff at sunrise and be raised at noon on Memorial Day. If you have no one to lower your flag at sunrise it is better to have it lowered the night before than not at all. In any case all flags should be raised at noon.

May 12, 2016 - Shelby County Judge Allison Harbison signed a proclamation on May 6, 2016 for the 11th annual Relay for Life of Shelby County Cancer Survivor Day on May 13, 2016
May 11, 2016 - We wish to thank everyone for all of the kind words, prayers, flowers and visits during our Mom's illness and after her passing.
Our family is grateful to Bro. Chris Collins for his kind and comforting words at the service. Thank you to all of you that were in attendance at the visitation and at the service, and to those who participated. There was also a kind gentleman that cut our lawn - Thank you James Barton.
May 11, 2016 - The Seven Sisters Red Hat group met for lunch on Tuesday, May 10 at The Sammich Shop inside Nettie's Nook on the Center square. They enjoyed the delicious soup, salad, and sandwiches. They were treated with purple and red decorated cupcakes and Red Hat gifts on the tables. Thanks for the royal treatment!
