New Hope Cemetery Association Gives Thanks to Sims, Project Cemetery

June 6, 2022 - The New Hope Cemetery Association would like to thank Trent Sims and Project Cemetery for the beautiful flowers put out at the cemetery recently.

We had our annual homecoming yesterday and the cemetery was beyond gorgeous with all the color! The graves that don’t have anyone to put out flowers for them all had pretty flowers due to this sweet ministry! We cannot thank you enough!

VFW Post 8904, Auxiliary to Remember D-Day with Laying of Memorial Wreath

June 1, 2022 - On June 6, 1944, 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. General Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end on June 6, the Allies gained a foothold in Normandy.
