March 10, 2022 - An account has been created at Shelby Savings Bank for the Benefit of Joseph Gipson. Donations will go toward the costs associated with his recent passing/funeral arrangements. Please help us support this family in their time of grief, as no one is ever prepared to lose a child. Joseph was a precious third grader at Center Elementary School. Donations may be made at any of the local Shelby Savings Bank Branches.

Funeral Services are set for Sunday, March 13th at 2:00 at Triumph Church in Center.

March 8, 2022 - The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will join with the Gateway to Texas Chapter of the Sons of the Republic of Texas and the J J E Gibson Chapter of the Children of the Republic of Texas for a joint meeting celebrating March as Texas History Month. The meeting will be held Saturday, March 12, at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center at 10am. Members of the CRT Chapter will assist in the program;  "The Texas flag, its history and meaning", and will conduct a flag retirement ceremony following the meeting.

February 28, 2022 - The SCCAC would like to thank everyone who helped make the 10th annual Princess Ball a success! It was an extra special evening, made possible only through the generous support of businesses and individuals in our community.

February 22, 2022 - The Timpson Public Library is proud to announce the addition of E-Read Texas books to our collection. Patrons may access this collection using their Apple and Android phones or tablets. Patrons will need to come by the library and have a password added to the library card account. If you don’t have a library card you can apply for one at the library.
