October 19, 2021 - The Health and Fitness Fair is this Friday, October 22nd from 9:00am until 2:30pm at the Windham Civic Center. There will be a lot of health related information; Cline’s Family Medicine will be offering Flu Shots; Nacogdoches Medical Center will be offering COVID vaccines and booster shots with Moderna and Pfizer.
October 19, 2021 - On behalf of the James/Antioch Community Center, we would like to thank everyone who came out Saturday and supported our fundraiser. It was a great success. I think the dumplings were a hit and we will be doing those again.

October 18, 2021 (Event flyer) - Tri-County Community Action is hosting a haunted fundraiser benefiting families in Shelby, San Augustine, and Sabine Counties. The Haunted Bed and Breakfast tour runs each Friday and Saturday through October 30th at 1012 Partin Road, San Augustine HS/EHS Center.
October 18, 2021 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, October 16th at the First United Methodist Church in Center TX. There was a workshop on “Food Photography” presented by Billie F. Jones in preparation for the next monthly challenge.
This club is for camera enthusiast of ALL skills and interests.
October 12, 2021 - The James-Antioch Community will be serving Chili or Chicken and Dumplings on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 11am until 1pm and from 4pm until 6pm.
This will be at the James Antioch Community Building just off HWY 7 E, down the road behind the James Store. Watch for signs.
Chili dinner includes crackers or Fritos, dessert and drink all for $8. Chicken and dumplings includes corn bread and dessert and drink all for $8. You can dine in or have take-out food.
October 13, 2021 - Women in the military have a history that extends over 400 years into the past throughout a large number of cultures and nations. World Wars I and II saw over 362,000 American women serving during war time. Today women make up 16% of the US military enlisted and 19% of the officer corps and their role has changed significantly over the years from clerical duties to ground combat soldiers to fighter pilots.
