2023 Texas State-Fish Art Contest Now Open for Entries

September 29, 2022 – The Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) is excited to announce it is accepting entries for the 2023 Texas division of Wildlife Forever’s Fish Art Contest through Feb. 28. The Fish Art Contest is part of an international conservation education program designed to foster youth interest in fisheries and fishing.

English can be a complicated language. Many English words have multiple meanings. The word “set” is said to have 430 definitions!

Today we take a look at a complicated Bible word - “blessing”. Here’s just a few of the ways we use it.

*A prayer before meals - “Dad, would you say the blessing?”

*To make the sign of the cross - “The ball player blessed himself before the at-bat.”

*Response to a sneeze - “God bless you!”

September 28, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, September 28.

In January of 1990, a church youth group in Burleson, Texas was having a weekend discipleship retreat. On Saturday night, 10 teenagers, burdened for their classmates, went to their school, stood around the flag pole, and prayed. From this small beginning, a vision for students to pray for students, began to spread from church to church and from school to school.

SWEPCO Crews Heading to Florida ahead of Hurricane Ian

September 27, 2022 – Southwestern Electric Power Co., an American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP) company, announced today that the company plans to send more than 300 personnel to Florida in preparation for Hurricane Ian.

The company has 106 employees and more than 200 contractors heading to Orlando to assist utility companies in restoration efforts after the hurricane makes landfall later this week.
