In Search of Relatives of WWII and Korean War Veteran Willie Edward Windham

July 22, 2016 - I am looking for a relative of WW II and Korean War Veteran Willie Edward Windham.  Mr. Windham has been missing in action in Korea since August 12, 1950.  With our upcoming program on Wednesday, July 27th  commemorating the 63rd Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice will honor his service and sacrifice.  We would like to make a presentation to any relative of his.  Contact me at 598-2976 or chief@chiefimaging.com.

40th East Texas Poultry Festival Seeks Arts & Crafts Vendors

July 20, 2016 - Planning is underway for the 40th East Texas Poultry Festival presented by Farmers State Bank, which will take place October 6-8 on the historic downtown Center square, with co-chairmen, Jim Sawyer and Josh Payne, leading the steering committee. According to Polly McKissick Montemayor, Arts and Crafts Committee Chair, vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, August 12.

July 19, 2016 - The President of the United States has issued a proclamation ordering the flag of the United States continue to be displayed at half-staff from now until sunset on Friday, July 22, 2016 as a mark of respect for the victims of the attack on police officers perpetrated on Sunday, July 17, 2016, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
