September 7, 2016 - Recent thefts of road signs within the Lufkin District has prompted the Texas Department of Transportation to remind the public that removing a road sign or speed limit sign is against the law.
Under Texas law, a person who commits theft means taking something that does not belong to you without consent or any legal justification, or “unlawfully appropriates property with intent to deprive the owner of the property.” (Tex. Penal Code 31.03)
September 6, 2016 - The “Texas Food Establishment Rules (TFER)” was revised, updated and was effective October 11, 2015. A major change in the revision now requires ALL food employees to complete an accredited food handlers training program within 60 days of employment, effective September 1, 2016.

Those who would be considered on the Type A side of the spectrum are those that are more driven, more focused, more goal-oriented, more diligent, more likely to get stressed and emotional, and more likely to have heart attacks and/or mental breakdowns.
The other side of the spectrum includes everyone else, who are called Type B personalities. These people aren’t as driven or goal-oriented, are more laid back, and more careless.

September 1, 2016 – Texas USDA Rural Development has announced the implementation of an interest rate decrease for the Single Family Housing Direct Loan Program effective September 1, 2016. The new rate of 2.875% will be at an all-time low.
“USDA Rural Development is pleased to assist rural Texans in meeting their housing needs, a critical goal to the long term sustainability of our communities,” said Paco Valentin, USDA Rural Development State Director.
