August 4, 2016 - The Center Independent School District offers career and technical education programs in Agricultural Animal Science, Agricultural Plant Systems, Agriculture Mechanics, Arts, A/V and Communication Technology, Business & Financial Education, Construction Technology, Health Care Science Technology, Hospitality & Tourism, Information Technology and Trade and Industrial Education. Admission to these programs is based on interest and aptitude.

Parents, Students, Community, and Staff,

August 2, 2016 - I hope that you are having a terrific summer. As we get closer to the beginning of school I wanted to inform you about some new ways we at Center Middle School are going to try and communicate with you this upcoming school year. We at CMS are constantly trying to improve communication with you, our school community. With that being said we have decided to introduce two new communication tools to go along with all of our traditional forms of communication.

Center ISD Letter to Parents for Free, Reduced-Price Meals

July 29, 2016 - Children need healthy meals to learn. Center ISD offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast costs $1.25; lunch costs $2.50 and $2.70 at the High School. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced-price meals. Reduced-price is $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch. If you received a notification letter that a child is directly certified for free meals, do not complete an application. Let the school know if any children in the household attending school are not listed in the letter.

Lil' Riders Punt, Pass, and Kick Camp, August 11th, Roughrider Stadium (Canceled)

Update: The Center Athletic Boosters have advised that due to current and deteriorating weather conditions. The Punt Pass and Kick event for tonight has been cancelled.


July 27, 2016 - Attention all "Lil Riders": Girls and Boys that are entering Kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to attend the second annual "Lil Rider Punt, Pass, and Kick" camp.

Hunter Education Course Offered by Center FFA and Shelby County Game Warden Anthony King

July 27, 2016 - Hunter Education Course is being offered by Shelby County Game Warden Anthony King and Center FFA Saturday, August 27th from 9am-2pm at the Center High School Library & Cafeteria (signs will lead you to parking lot). To pre-register, please e-mail jessica.shadix@centerisd.org with your name, age, and phone number. Course Fee: $20-cash only ($15 for course, $5 for meal).
