August 20, 2016 – Last Thursday, The Center Roughriders headed to Tatum for both varsity football teams final scrimmage preparations of the season. The event moved indoors due to flash floods.

The two teams met up last year in conference competition with Center coming out on top by a 42-7 score. This year Tatum got the upper hand, during scrimmage play, with their biggest damage being a 22-yard touchdown reception by Shay Rodgers, and a 32-yard run up the middle, for a score, by Austin McGee.

August 18, 2016 - The CHS Class of 1961 will get together Saturday, September 17th at Sombreros Bar and Grill from 6:00pm till 10:00pm. Food and drink are dutch treat. 

If anyone would like to ride on a float in the parade, we will be behind Farmer's Bank at 3:30pm. 

August 17, 2016 - Hunter Education Course is being offered by Shelby County Game Warden Anthony King and Center FFA Saturday, August 27th from 9am to 2pm at Center High School Library & Cafeteria (signs will lead you to parking lot). 

August 16, 2016 - A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of Center Independent School District (CISD) was held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Center Independent School District Administration Board Room located at located at 107 Private Road 605 in Center, Texas 75935.
