Shelby Savings Bank Shows Support for CHS Basketball

February 26, 2016 - Shelby Savings Bank, represented by Lorei Shoate and Josh Jones, visited Center High School to bring goodie bags and show their support for the Varsity Basketball team, who will play in the second round of the playoffs tonight against Madisonville. The game will be hosted at Lufkin Middle School at 7 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the gate - $5 adults, $3 students.

Center ISD Student's State Qualifying Animation To Be Shown at Nac Film Festival

February 25, 2016 - Morgan Ray has advanced to the state finals in traditional animation to be held in Austin, Texas in March.

Ray is a junior at Center HS and a student of Center HS teacher Adan Ramirez. Her work will be viewed at The Historic Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas as well as featured at the Nacogdoches Film Festival this coming weekend, February 25th-27th.

Ramirez says she has put all the time and effort to achieve this goal. We wish her the best at state!

Lady Riders to Play in Galkat/Lady Devil Softball Tournament

February 24, 2016 - Varsity and JV Lady Riders Softball will play in the Galkat/Lady Devil Softball Tournament held at Coy Simms Park on MLK St. in Nacogdoches from Thursday (Feb 25th) -Saturday (Feb 27th).

Riders Qualify for Regional Powerlifting Meet

February 24, 2016 - Center Riders compete hard at the powerlifting meet in Bullard, TX on Feb. 20th. Many Riders placed, and the Lady Riders as a team placed 11th overall. Witt Dockens and JaCarlos Hall went as far as to qualify to compete in the Region III Division II Powerlifting meet on March 3rd. You can view the results below.

Center Students Assist Texas Forestry with Seedling Giveaway

February 23, 2016 - On Friday February 12th, the Center Agriculture Science Students and FFA members assisted Texas A&M Forester Brittany Compton-Semetko with giving away over 1,000 hardwood tree seedlings. Species included Permission, Flowering Dogwood, Red bud, Pecan, Yellow Popular and 8 variety of Oak.

The Texas Forest Service provides this service to help educate community members on the importance of native hardwood trees, especially here in our heavily forested region.

February 23, 2016 - The Lady Rider Softball game versus Marshall, Tuesday, February 23rd has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Center HS Class of 2016 Announces 16th Annual Senior Celebration

February 23, 2016 - The Center High School Class of 2016 would like to invite everyone to the 16th annual Senior Celebration.

Senior Celebration is a chance for family, friends, and community members to share in a night dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and approaching graduation of the senior class.

Senior Celebration will be held Monday, February 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school cafetorium.
