Center HS Fish Camp Set for August 18th

August 7, 2015 - Center High School Fish Camp (Freshmen Orientation) will be on Tuesday, August 18th from 12 PM to 4 PM.

Incoming Freshmen need to check in at the CHS Cafetorium. Students will receive their class schedules and will be introduced to a variety of information about Center High School that will better prepare them to take on the new campus and school year. Each student will receive a t-shirt sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank. Center High School administration and staff encourages all incoming Freshmen to attend and participate.

Center ISD School Board Special Called Meeting Unofficial Aug 4th Minutes

August 6, 2015 - A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of Center Independent School District (CISD) was held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Center ISD Administration Board Room located at 107 Private Road 605 Center, Texas 75935.

James Greer called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and declared a quorum.

Center ISD Offers Career and Technical Education Programs

August 5, 2015 - The Center Independent School District offers career and technical education programs in Agricultural Animal Science, Agricultural Plant Systems, Agriculture Mechanics, Arts, A/V and Communication Technology, Business & Financial Education, Construction Technology, Health Care Science Technology, Hospitality & Tourism, Information Technology and Trade and Industrial Education.

Center MS to Offer Pre-Athletics for 6th Graders

August 5, 2015 - Center Middle School will be offering a 6th Grade Pre-Athletics Class for the the 2015-16 school year. There will be a section for 6th grade boys and 6th grade girls.

The participants in these classes will learn the same skills and do the same conditioning as the students in the regular athletic periods, but will not compete against other schools.

If your 6th grade student is interested in the pre-athletic class, please go to the front office at Center Middle School to sign up.

Center Alumni Committee Seeking Nominations for Hall of Honor, HC Schedule

August 3, 2015 - The CHS Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the Hall of Honor Distinguished Alumnus Award. Nominations must be received by Monday, September 7th. The HOH Award will be presented during the CHS Annual Alumni Association Meeting on Saturday, October 10th (9am-noon).
