March 7, 2016 - Mrs. Angela Gillis’s fourth grade students at Excelsior wrote, illustrated and published their own book. The students included original stories and acrostic poems in the book. They learned what it takes to put a book together. They worked as a team to complete the project. The students helped each other by sharing ideas and lending a hand with illustrations. The students were able to purchase a copy of the book for themselves and donated a copy to the Excelsior library.
February 11, 2016 - Excelsior Beta Club will be selling chocolate covered pretzels for Valentines in front of Wal-Mart Friday, February 12, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Saturday February 13, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. All proceeds will go toward helping our Beta kids go to Beta convention in Frisco, TX Feb. 25-27.

UIL Awards will be Monday, December 14, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the gym.
December 9, 2015 - Excelsior students went to Mt. Enterprise December 1 and 8, to compete against Mt. Enterprise, Chireno, Laneville, and Gary School Districts in various subjects in the 28A Elementary School and Junior High District Meet.
December 2, 2015 - The Excelsior ISD music classes will present their Christmas Program on Tuesday, December 15th at 6:00pm. Please invite friends and family to this yearly event. There will be beautiful sings, lots of hand bell rining and even a visit from Santa! We lookk forward to seeing you and your family! Merry Christmas!
