July 12, 2022 - Several law enforcement agencies, assisting the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, responded to a residence on CR 2335 near FM 417 Tuesday afternoon, July 12, 2022, in relation to an incident at a residence.
July 11, 2022 - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Five Way public water system, 2100008 to issue a Boil Water Notice on 07/7/2022 to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
July 9, 2022 - Our flags were scheduled to be raised today at sunset. However another Presidential Proclamation has been issued extending that until sunset tomorrow, Sunday, July 10 in honor of Japan's former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo who was assassinated on July 8, 2022.

July 7, 2022 - The month of June 2022 ended on a cooler note after having 5 days of triple digit temperatures, June 22-26. The slight break from the heat wave had two somewhat blissful summer days with the lows making it into the high 60s. All together June had three days with the lows in the 67-69 degrees range.

July 6, 2022 - Tenaha Council Member Durand Steadman was notified this morning of an individual in attendance at yesterday’s city council meeting testing positive for Covid-19 this morning. Steadman wanted to inform anyone attending the meeting of the possible exposure.
July 6, 2022 - A Presidential Proclamation Honoring the Victims of the Tragedy in Highland Park, Illinois has been issued. All flags of the United States should be flown at half-staff until sunset, July 9, 2022.
July 4, 2022 - The Timpson Volunteer Fire Department responded to a forest fire today at 1:45pm off FM 1645.
After four hours battling the 12-14 acre blaze, and with help from the Forestry Service, the fire was extinguished.
The Timpson Volunteer Fire Department thanks the Forestry Service for their help, and the neighbors in the area that helped pitch in to fight the fire.
