Shelby County Grand Jury Indicts 10 Cases in January

February 4, 2025 - A Shelby County Grand Jury delivered 10 indictments on Monday, January 6, 2025. The grand jury was impaneled for the January 2025 term of the 123rd/273rd Judicial District Courts.

David Aaron McMahon was indicted for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, second degree felony. The indictment alleges, on October 26, 2024, McMahon recklessly caused serious bodily injury to Jason McMahon by repeatedly punching him in the face, which caused serious bodily injury. (123rd Judicial District Court)

January 30, 2025 - On 1-28-2025, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Shelbyville public water system, 2100014, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Paxton WSC Jackson Plant Boil Water Notice

January 29, 2025 - Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Paxton WSC Jackson plant public water system, 2100031, to issue a Boil Water Notice on 1-24-2025, the  to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to a line break by a phone company which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
