May 19, 2016 - The Shelby County grand jury for the January Term 2016 of the 273rd Judicial District Court met Monday, May 16, 2016 and indicted 12 cases.
Karenjana Sarao was indicted for abandoning or endangering a child, state jail felony. The indictment alleges on February 8, 2015 Sarao engaged in conduct that placed a child younger than 15 years of age, in imminent danger of death, bodily injury, or physical or mental impairment by leaving the child alone and without adequate supervision.

May 13, 2016 - Shelby County Sheriff Willis Blackwell reports that on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at approximately 11:55 p.m., Shelby County dispatchers received a call of a shooting incident that had occurred at a residence on FM 415 in Timpson.
Blackwell, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies and investigators responded to the residence and found that a Jeffery Hudson had shot a male subject identified as Keith Green upon Green forcibly making entry into Hudson’s residence.
