June 3, 2020 - A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Shelbyville Independent School District will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020, beginning at Noon, in the Cafetorium of the Shelbyville Independent School District at 343 FM 417 West, Shelbyville, Texas.
June 3, 2020 - In addition to the “Virtual Graduation” that was held on May 22, 2020, Shelbyville High School’s Class of 2020 will be participating in an outdoor graduation ceremony at Dragon Stadium on Friday, June 26th, at 7 p.m. Entrance to the stadium for the ceremony will by ticket only and each graduate will be issued ten tickets for family and guests. Social distancing and safety protocols will be followed.
June 2, 2020 - In accordance with 34 CFR 300.573 Destruction of Information, Shelbyville ISD Special Services will destroy the special education records of students whose last date of service was prior to 2012. This destruction of records will take place on or after August 1, 2020. Parents are reminded that the special education records may be needed by the student or parents for social security benefits or other purposes. Shelbyville ISD Special Services will maintain a permanent record of each student's name, last known address, date of birth, and other data.
May 6, 2020 - A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Shelbyville Independent School District will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020, beginning at Noon, in the Cafetorium of the Shelbyville Independent School District at 5322 St. Hwy 87 South, Shelbyville, Texas.
May 1, 2020 - Governor Greg Abbott’s directive issued last week closes school buildings for classroom learning for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. However, Shelbyville ISD will continue to provide daily home-based learning for our students until the last day of our school year, May 21, 2020. Please review the following items as we finish out the school year:
April 21, 2020 - S. W. Carter Elementary School with Shelbyville ISD is offering online pre-registration for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten for the school year 2020-2021 with the additional feature to upload required registration documents. In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the Shelbyville ISD school system is currently closed. Enrollment forms and required documents can be downloaded and emailed, dropped off in the drop-off box at the front entrance or mailed to S.W. Carter Elementary, P.O. Box 325, Shelbyville, TX 75973.
April 21, 2020 - Parents of students living outside the Shelbyville Independent School District who wish their children to attend Shelbyville Schools during the 2020-2021 school year must request transfer no later than June 1, 2020. This applies to both old and new transfer students. New transfers who are approved will be required to pay tuition to attend.
