January 2, 2017 - The Shelbyville yearbook staff would like to announce “#ShelbyvilleStrong” as the title of the 2018 Dragon yearbook. Along with this announcement is the opportunity to win a free yearbook. All you have to do is go on the facebook like the page “The Dragon- Shelbyville ISD yearbook” and on the post with the hashtag Shelbyville Strong comment a picture that shows what it means to be #ShelbyvilleStrong. The pictures must be of current students and faculty and staff. All the pictures will be placed in an album and the one with the most likes will be the winner.

December 20, 2017 - S. W. Carter Elementary School students competed in the District 22AA Elementary School Academic UIL Meet held at San Augustine on December 11th and 13th.Receiving awards from Shelbyville:

December 7, 2017 - The Dragon Players will present their fall show, Sweet Dreams on Dec. 12th at 7pm in the SISD Cafetorium. Admission is $5 at the door. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

December 4, 2017 - S. W. Carter Elementary School students will compete at San Augustine in the District 22AA Elementary Academic UIL Meet on December 11th and 13th. Schools competing include Chireno, Joaquin, San Augustine, Shelbyville, Tenaha, Timpson and Woden.

November 29, 2017 - Shelbyville Student Council Annual Toy Drive starts Dec. 4th-12th.

Please donate unwrapped toys at any S.I.S.D. campus. Toys will be given to the Shelby County Advocacy Center.
