August 12, 2024 - Across Shelby County, the 2024-2025 school year is underway with five of the local schools having started. Tenaha and Timpson started their school year last week. For Center Christian Academy, Joaquin, and Shelbyville the new school year started today, August 12. Tomorrow, Center and Excelsior will start and finalize the back-to-school season.

August 6, 2024 - The Tenaha ISD announced today it will continue its policy to operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2024-2025 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This new approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.

Bringing healthy summer meals to Tenaha Community children ensures kids have a healthy vacation and return to school ready to learn

May 23, 2024 - This summer, Tenaha ISD will connect children 18 years old and younger with healthy Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) meals at no cost to the child.

May 6, 2024 - Tenaha High School introduces the graduating class of 2024. Commencement ceremonies and scholarship presentations will take place on Friday, May 10th at 7pm in the Tenaha ISD Special Events Center.
