June 15, 2015 - Tenaha ISD Superintendent, Scott Tyner, is proud to announce that the Board of Trustees has unanimously approved the hiring of two new members to the Tiger leadership team.
May 13, 2015 - Tenaha ISD’s Head Football Coach Terry Ward, accepts a Position at Harleton HS. Coach Ward has been an integral part of the Tenaha ISD’s success both on and off the field.
May 11, 2015 - The Tenaha 5th grade beginner band attended the Sound Post Music Festival in Canton this past Friday, May 8th. The band performed two pieces of music that they had prepared over a two month period. They performed above expectations for a 5th grade beginner band, and received a division 1 (superior rating) from every judge!
May 8, 2015 - On Thursday, April 30th the 2nd grade classes from Tenaha traveled to Shreveport and spent the day at Sci-Port. Sci-Port is a hands-on Science museum.
Students participated in two classes. In the class Animal Defenses, students discovered how animal adaptations help them survive. In the class Ooey Gooey Gloop, students used inquiry skills to create a polymer that they brought home.
May 7, 2015 - The Tenaha ISD is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows:
May 7, 2015 - Tenaha third grade has been learning about Cinco de Mayo in class and today celebrated it with authentic Mexican cusine. The menu included gorditas, enchiladas, rice, chicarrones, chips and salsa, arroz con leche, empanadas, quesadillas, molotes, Mexican wedding cookies, and Jumex nectar. This meal was enjoyed by all. We want to give a special thanks to all of our parents who prepared the wonderful food for our Cinco de Mayo.
May 5, 2015 - Cell Phones for Soldiers is a worldwide nonprofit group that distributes free telephone international calling cards to U.S. troops serving overseas. Every cell phone donated to this group generates about an hour of talk time for a soldier abroad.
Our local Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and Tenaha Schools are partnering for a cell phone drive to benefit this worthy cause.
Please bring your old useless cell phones to the High School office.
